After a career spanning 30 years, she knows a thing or two about successfully running a business! Through combining a career in the education sector while also working in business development, Geraldine merges research-led critical thinking and academic rigour with a solid focus on practical application. She has worked with a range of business support organisations to assist their clients at the start-up and development stages of their businesses. These organisations include the Local Enterprise Offices, SOLAS, ETBs, Skillnet Networks, the Small Firms Association, NovaUCD and TCD Tangent. She is also involved in a range of SME and education policy initiatives, most recently the revision of the Leaving Certificate Business Studies curriculum and the OECD Training Strategy Review of Ireland.
