Supporting Local Young People Through Practical Opportunities

At Bridge Enterprise Centres, we believe supporting local young people is one of the most meaningful investments we can make in our community. That is why, we were proud to provide an endowment to CrossCare Dundrum, helping fund a range of summer activities and skills-based training designed to give young people practical experience, greater confidence and stronger pathways into employment.

Over the summer, the funding supported safety training for a group of young men preparing for opportunities in the building industry. This kind of training is an important first step, giving participants essential knowledge and helping them prepare for the standards and responsibilities of the workplace.

The endowment also helped make Employability Week possible in July. Through this programme, young people were offered Level 3 barista training, barbering training, nail technician training, and brows and lashes training. These courses provided hands-on learning in areas where practical skills, confidence and presentation matter, while also giving participants valuable qualifications and experience they can add to their CVs.

We are grateful to CrossCare Dundrum for the work they do to support young people locally and for creating opportunities that are both practical and encouraging. When young people are given access to relevant training, they are better equipped to move forward with confidence, explore their strengths and take positive steps towards employment.
