Spanning one full day and two half days, this programme provides a comprehensive overview of the Irish food sector and the essential steps for starting a food production business. Participants will gain invaluable insights into the intricacies of setting up a food enterprise, from navigating industry-specific regulations to understanding the logistics of production and distribution. The course is tailored to help entrepreneurs avoid common pitfalls, although it assumes a foundational knowledge of general business practices.
This initiative is particularly beneficial for those planning to apply for the prestigious Food Academy Programme, offering a significant boost to their application prospects. Hosted by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Local Enterprise Office, the next session kicks off with an in-person workshop at the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel on 2nd September, followed by online sessions on 16th and 19th September. Note that the programme is exclusively available to Dublin-based participants, and full attendance on all dates is mandatory.
